Introducing a New Member

Fairhaven has much to offer potential members, regularly appearing in lists of the UK’s best golf courses and is renowned as a venue that combines a high quality course with the most beautiful surroundings. Set in the middle of Lytham but with hardly a building in view from anywhere on the course. Fairhaven is home to a wide variety of wildlife, particularly free roaming pheasants. The club has won a number of ecology awards for its environmental management.

The Championship course has just completed a 5 year programme of enhancement to maintain its international standard. As a result of the work members are now able to enjoy free provision and collection of balls when using the new practice facilities which are conveniently adjacent to the clubhouse.

Whilst Fairhaven is a test for the better golfer, the course is fair and offers an enjoyable round for all abilities. The club is ideal for both couples and families as it has a thriving Ladies Section of some 140 members and a full programme of competitive and social mixed golf. The club is proud of its commitment to junior golf having a vibrant 70 strong junior section encouraged by a coaching scheme which is open to all as part of the membership package. All juniors, regardless of ability, receive individual attention from both the Club Professional and the Junior Leaders Team. Particularly pleasing is our success in encouraging girls to take up the game; currently 20 girls play an active part in the junior scene.

The Clubhouse has recently undergone refurbishment and members are able to enjoy an active Entertainments programme, providing many different Social Events from formal dinner dances to family barbecues.

The Professional runs a number of coaching and player development schemes suitable for both beginners and accomplished players, as well as offering a wide range of custom fit clubs and other equipment.

As an additional benefit of membership, Fairhaven members have access via the Passport Scheme to a number of other high quality courses around the North including Moortown, Moor Allerton, Southport & Ainsdale, Wilmslow, Sandiway and Wallasey.

Fairhaven currently has a limited number of vacancies in all membership categories. Applications are taken throughout the year, subject to vacancy, and applicants without a proposer will not be disadvantaged but will be assessed on merit. The club operates a scheme via Fairway Credit allowing new members to spread the cost of joining fees and membership over an extended period.
