Jim Hutchinson awarded Greenkeeper of the Year 2010
Congratulations to Jim Hutchinson who has just been awarded 'Greenkeeper of the Year 2010' in recognition of the many years he has dedicated to ecological work on the course.
Jim's enthusiasm for ecology at the club has been described as "infectious". His commitment to ecology on the course and his passion for the wildlife has always been appreciated by the club but he must be delighted to have his work acknowledged in this way.

England v Scotland Schools
Unfortunately the ESGA were not so lucky with the weather when they held their England v Scotland Schools event at the club on 13th September and were rained off in the afternoon.
After playing the foursomes in torrential rain in the morning a decision had to be taken to cancel the singles matches in the afternoon.
The course usually drains rapidly but the photo above showing the amount of water on the course gives an idea of how much rain fell in a short period of time.
