Major Events at Fairhaven Golf Club
Fairhaven Golf Club has a long history of hosting important golfing events for both Amateur and Professional Ladies and Gents of all ages. The club has regularly hosted Local Final Qualifying for The Open and 1997 Open champion Justin Leonard set the professional course record at 64 during Final Qualifying in 1996.

Annual Fairhaven Trophies
Friday 30th April - Sunday 2nd May 2010
An international 72 hole scratch championship for under 18 year old Boys and Girls, which carries EGU & EWGA order of merit points in addition to World Amateur Golf Ranking points.
2010 The European Men’s Seniors Team Championship
29th August - 4th September
England’s over 55 golfers will defend the title they won for the first time last year after overcoming defending champions Ireland in the semi-finals then beating Sweden 3-2 in the final at Golf Club Patriziale in Ascona, Sweden last year.
2011 The LGU - The Astor Trophy
Comprising teams of the leading lady amateur golfers from Australia, Canada, GB & I, New Zealand & South Africa; a championship which is only played every 20 years in the UK.
2012 Junior Open
16th - 18th July
Inaugurated in 1994, the event has been run by the R&A since 2000. All national golf organisations are invited to send one boy or girl, or both, to compete in the 54-hole event, which is played every two years.
2013 The LGU - British Girls Amateur Championships
12th - 16th July
